Wildlife Management Units (UMM) are the geographical units that DEC uses to establish hunting and trapping seasons in New York State. Deer areas are outlined in blue. Although larger units have more habitat variability, they provide adequate datasets for management recommendations without additional data collection effort, provide hunters with larger areas to hunt, and provide boundaries that are easy to see. From game management units in Alaska to hunting areas in Florida, OnX has compiled interactive maps of species districts, management units and hunting zones for all applicable states.
A map of the counties residing in the North Zone and the South Zone that govern the hunting of white-tailed deer in Texas is shown.
