What hunting season is it right now?

All season dates on this page are effective for the current license year, which runs from September 1st to August 31st Deer and Bear Hunting · Turkey Hunting Seasons · Future Big Game Hunting. Moving to a different county within the same deer hunting unit does not increase the hunter's bag limit. Hunters looking for ducks, moorhens, geese and brant can view dates and bag limits for waterfowl seasons and a special youth waterfowl hunt. Possum, porcupine, weasel, red squirrel, skunk, ground squirrel, groundhog, Russian wild boar, wild pigeons, starlings, and house sparrows can be caught year-round with a valid Michigan hunting license.
